sources. that has burned another couple thousand acres. we have nothing more than 25 or 30 percent contained. the former congresswoman gabrielle giffords has moved back home to arizona. >> darya: let us take a look at the new home that she purchased, this house she shares with her husband retired astronauts mark kelly, they purchased this home in june. she spent most of her time recovering in a medical facility in houston. she was one of 13 people that were injured in the shooting. six other people were killed in that shooting. last week 23 year old jerry to leave a lot of nerve pled guilty to the shootings. >> mark: we have a new video coming out of iran 20 villages have been destroyed due to tornadoes. it was a

george, we have a deadly weekend on the bay area roadways. at least six people were killed the latest happened yesterday morning on 680 and san ramon. there were several cars involved in this crash. one of the cars began to leak gas and then caught fire and people were trapped inside. two people died and one was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. they do not know what caused this crash yet. >> darya: there was another deadly crash of the weekend ritual to pedestrians and in another crash when a woman pulled you turn into oncoming traffic. police are looking for a driver that smashed and suv in a martial arts school in oakland. you can see them repairing the damage. they believe it was a drunk driver is that ran into this nonprofit martial

>> mark: we are following the latest and lake county. there are two fires burning to the east of the lake. the biggest one is the wye fire that has burned to--5,000 a.. hundreds of firefighters are battling the blaze. there were 480 homes that were evacuated. the second fire is burning about three mouse to the east. that fire is burning near walker wrote. it has burned 2,000 a.. we have a new video coming in off of youtube. this is a time lapse of video. look at the lake and then look at the thick smoke that is flying

up in the ear is raging out of control. they do not know if the two fires are related. we are dealing with temperatures better up of 100 degrees trying to battle the massive blaze. it has 480 homes evacuate right now. these are tough weather conditions for the firefighters right now. >> erica: firefighters are trying to get a handle on this because conditions will not improve until the afternoon. right now temperatures are sitting in the low 80s the we have extremely low humidity levels that coupled with the dry air and the warm temperatures that could skyrocket up to 160 degrees do not make favorable conditions for later this afternoon. in addition to that we see an increase in the wind speed. we have heard reports that caltrans says that high with 20

between high with 16 and 23 are completely shut down. we will keep our eye on the situation throughout the morning. >> darya: today marks one week since the fire at the chevron refinery in richmond. they're much rain experts are arriving today to continue the investigation that has been launched. federal investigators of a scene. they have not yet gained access to the crude unit number four where the fire started, when they do get in, they plan on testing the 8 in. pipe that leaked combustible liquid. the team is not been kept out of the area by chevron they say the oil company has so far been cooperative but they need to see the unit, they have been kept away from the fire point of origin because cal osha that is leading the investigation accessed that the area is unsafe to enter.

cheaper. but nastily the price is at $3.70. too bad we cannot go by those numbers at least. but, i do have to tell you the national is $3.70 and this went up 15 from yesterday. so maybe you should fill up today because you never know, maybe tomorrow it will be higher, but we never know. it is not just the refinery that is affecting the prices, but the price of crude oil is higher. that is why the prices are going up higher in the bay area. >> mark: the drought in the midwest affected corn prices. some good advice is may be filled every day if you can because each day we are expecting prices to rise. there is no sign right now as to when the prices will flatten out. >> darya: police are investigating a string of

shootings and oakland and man were shot around 11:00 p.m. last night near 55th avenue and international boulevard he is in stable condition. that gunfire came hours after two other shootings. there was one at noon in the 1200 block of mandela parkway and then yesterday at 5:30 p.m., two people were shot and one of them died. >> darya: in national news eighth and he wants it is accused of killing her fiancee hours before their wedding. police said woman stabbed her fiance to death during an argument in their apartment. four children were inside of the apartment when that happened. neighbors were shocked, they say the two of them were nice people. franklin has been charged with homicide in being held without bail. >> mark: more drama between the widow and the girlfriend of the late artist thomas kincaid. the girlfriend has
